Fresh Spirit Music

Who we are!

Take three individuals who love the Lord, who want to see souls saved and who have a heart for ministry and spreading the Gospel in song;

... and all you have to do is add some toe-tapping music and some soul-searching lyrics, and when you wrap all this up in prayer and a lot of faith you have "Fresh Spirit".

As only He can, God brought Linda, Judi and Duane together, with not only harmony in their voices, but in their hearts as well. "Fresh Spirit" continues the mission of lifting up the Body of Christ by sharing God's goodness and love through song. We all are very excited for the days ahead.

Linda Covert

Lead, Alto

I make the statement all the time, “I was born in church, playing and singing music.” As part of The Singing Brewer Family and now, “Fresh Spirit,” I have traveled and sung, going from churches in Canada, all the way to Guadalajara, Mexico. My main focus is to present the gospel in song, all the while praising the Lord. Stan and I have two children, Matthew and Sarah, and a son-in law named Joe. I love being able to sing lead, harmonize, arrange our songs and play the piano.

Judi Rambo

Alto, Tenor

Please welcome Judi to “Fresh Spirit.” She has been singing Gospel music from an early age, starting with her twin brother. In later years, she enjoyed being part of various groups, participating in holiday choir productions and church worship team ministry. Judi is a wife, mother and grandmother and feels like the Lord has opened a wonderful door for her as she starts a ministry with “Fresh Spirit.” She sees this as a new beginning and revitalization to continue singing. “When God opens the door, we walk through it, not looking back, only moving forward to the future. I am excited to see the plan God has for all of us and am thankful to minister once again, singing Southern Gospel Music.”

Duane Hatfield

Tenor, Baritone

Duane debuts with “Fresh Spirit” as part of our new lineup. A lifelong singer in church ministries, he is new to singing within a traditional music ministry group. Duane has previously served as a bi-vocational pastor in Ohio and Tennessee and just recently relocated to the Cincinnati area. In addition to music ministry, Duane has enjoyed singing in the Barbershop genre in the past as well. He and his wife Christine have two beautiful children, Reagan (away at college) and Isaac, who home schools and studies piano at the Cincinnati Music Academy.

Stan Covert

Sound Man

Stan rounds out the group as our Sound Man, Chauffeur and all-round VIP for “Fresh Spirit!” All of us consider this a very important job. I definitely could not do this without him. He tirelessly loads equipment in and out, gets the group where we’re going, maintains our equipment, makes us sound good, all the while putting up with all of us. Stan is a minister of the Gospel and has also written a devotional guide entitled "Growing in Grace".
